The Community Engagement Liaison is a member of LINC’s Community Engagement and Advocacy team and is called to serve as a LINC “ambassador” to the community and to implement community planning processes and neighborhood engagement strategies to ensure that the voice of the community is heard, and their potential maximized to create real and long-term impact. The Community Engagement Liaison is particularly charged with building strong neighborhood connections with stakeholders, identifying, and helping develop emerging leaders, and implementing sustained neighborhood engagement and outreach efforts for successful community planning implementation. The Liaison will then be responsible for direct and authentic community engagement/outreach, providing program support and recruitment for LINC’s programs and partners, and connecting residents to leadership development opportunities.

Community Organizing and Outreach

  • Serve as a liaison between the selected neighborhood and LINC.

  • Conduct extensive community outreach in the selected neighborhood, including a strong presence at community events and meetings where there is opportunity for outreach.

  • Establish, maintain and deepen relationships with community-based and/or faith-based organizations, schools and businesses in the neighborhood.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with grassroots leaders in the neighborhood, significantly increasing pipeline of neighborhood leaders.

  • Make presentations to community groups to share information about LINC programs and services.

  • Recruit residents to participate in the LINC’s Leadership Academy and other LINC training and capacity building efforts.

Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician ($17-20 per hour) | Click Here to See Full Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform repairs of all buildings, rental properties, and equipment. The position requires maintaining the interior and exterior of all properties. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, must have an outgoing and engaging personality and must be very customer focused, high levels of confidentiality and a detail-oriented individual. Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle and perform manual labor, which may include kneeling, bending, lifting, stooping, standing, crouching, and reaching.

Responsibilities (All Details Included in Full Job Description):

Performs all needed work order repairs of all properties in order of priority, emergency, on call, make ready, preventative, inspection, routine, or resident request repairs.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on buildings, properties, and equipment.

  • Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.

  • Winterize vacant units.

  • Assist with unit turn over.

  • Assist with event set up and clean up.

  • Prepares and performs all necessary repairs to vacant units for new residents.

  • Responds to all service requests, on-call emergencies as directed by the Property Manager. 

  • Maintaining the exterior of the property daily to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times. 

  • Assist with maintaining flower beds, cut lawns, trim and edge around walks, prune bushes, trees, shrubs; clean grounds, rake, and bag leaves, remove litter, water lawn, shrubs and flowers when necessary, clean drainage ditches and culverts.

  • Inspect property for improvements and repairs and review with supervisor, immediately reporting unsafe conditions.
