GRCC PUBLIC WORKS ACADEMY INFO SESSION

Join Grand Rapids Community College and LINC UP to explore a rewarding career in Public Works. The Public Works Academy is a 14-week program beginning April 2026 that offers a comprehensive pathway into high demand careers with local municipalities.
Paid work opportunities as you learn โ no experience required! CDL training for Public Works and Prep for Commercial Learnerโs Permit (CLP) also available.
COST AND ELIGIBILITY:
The program cost is $700. If you live in the City of Grand Rapids, your cost is only $50!
Open to applicants over 18 years old. High school diploma or GED is recommended. Must be able to complete a criminal background check, have a valid driverโs license, a good driving record and no recent OWIs.
Those who successfully complete the program will be eligible for potential careers such as the following:
